Benton’s Steakhouse Offers Thanksgiving Day Dinner with a View

Gathering with family and friends to celebrate all that we’re thankful for doesn’t have to mean slaving away in the kitchen for days in advance. In fact, it doesn’t have to require any cooking at all. Whether you’re starting a new tradition or renewing an old one, you and your loved ones can head to Crown Center this Thanksgiving for some seriously satisfying food. Not to mention, the seriously mesmerizing view of downtown Kansas City you can enjoy as you chow down.

Benton’s Prime Steakhouse is reopening on Thanksgiving Day to give guests an unforgettable dining experience they can’t get anywhere else. They’re offering a special, family style dinner atop the Westin Hotel at Crown Center from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day! So, this year, you can sit back, relax and leave the cooking to expert Chef Brandon Ritter and his culinary team. The entire meal will cost $39 per adult and $16 for children ages 6 to 12.

Menu offerings include starters such as butternut squash bisque and apple & goat cheese salad. The main dishes are served family style and include house smoked kurzweil’s turkey with caramelized onion gravy and sausage, fennel and mushroom stuffing, as well as roasted strip loin with wild mushroom jus.

On the off chance that your mouth isn’t watering yet, let’s take a moment to appreciate Chef Rigo’s sweet buffet options. This dessert buffet (that’s right, an entire buffet) will include pumpkin pie, carrot cake, apple pie, bourbon pecan pie, and the Chef’s assorted petite pastries and cherry cobbler. Of course, the meal wouldn’t be complete without a glass of Magnolia Grove California Cabernet Sauvignon or Chardonnay (included in the meal deal).

In order to ensure a stress free experience, guests are encouraged to make reservations to secure a table in advance. Then again, a little extra wait time could only make you more thankful for your delicate, over-performing taste buds in the end, right? No, probably not. So book your table in advance and you can thank both your taste buds and OpenTable, simultaneously.

Have family coming in from out of town? Be sure to ask about special Westin room packages and stick around for the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday. It looks like the crisp Fall weather arrived just in time to kick off the holiday season right. We were beginning to doubt it would show up at all. ‘Tis the season, y’all!
